Drawing a Face

This February marks the 1st anniversary of my surgery on my left arm to save it after my lupus had caused paralysis in my left arm/hand. Unfortunately I am left handed. The surgery saved me from loosing anymore muscle mass, but only restored feeling in my first two fingers. I had to learn how to do many things with my right hand. I taught myself to write again using my left hand without the feeling in it, and this is my first attempt to draw with my left hand since all of this happened. I tend to bare down more since I can’t feel the pencil. All in all I am please to be able to even attempt to draw at this stage. I still need to work on my mind to muscle coordination, but I know with time it will get easier.

Soul Search

I made the collage on day 6 of Journal January, but just now used it for this piece "Soul Search". I seem to be doing this a lot lately. Maybe it is because it's January and the beginning of a new year.

Playing Along with Milliande

Milliande is doing a page a day in an art journal for the month of January.
You can play along as much as you want.

This is what I did for day 5. The two circles are all my doing, and the triangle is "Celtic Goddess Triangle Portrait" by Stamp Oasis. I then increased the outline of the stamp. I got carried away on the small circle, and finally decided to quit before I did any more damage.

A New Place

This is a new place for me to blog my other side of seeing things. It will contain everything else I do except my papercrafting. I have been experimenting a lot lately, and have found new friends who have shared their art work/experiences with me. This has pushed my creative boundaries and allowed me to explore new depths of artistic context. I hope you will journey with me as I explore/grow/evolve into new areas.
