Giveaway: Teach Yourself to Sew Magazine and DVD bundle - Threads

I use a lot of fabric in my mixed media art work as well as my art dolls. I learned to sew years ago by reading books. I am sure I created some bad habits and incorrect ways of doing things. That is why I would love to win this magazine subscription and DVD.

My Computer is Down

My computer is down right now, and has been since Monday night. I am on the notebook, but I am unable to post any photos with it. I will continue the 31 Halloween projects as soon as my new parts get here. Hopefully it will not me very long. Meanwhile, I am creating more items everyday. I will catch up on my posts as soon as I can.

Halloween Project #10

I associate myself with spider webs, as in Charlotte’s Web. I use them frequently as a logo with my name, so it was only a matter of time before I used them in something associated with “The Other Side of Char-”.

This is an intro in a book which will house photos and/or printouts of some of my “Other Side” projects. It uses some digital paper from the Halloween kit “Eeek”. I added more spiders, both digitally and physically, and tweak this into a paper that I printed out. Then all of the rest of the embellishments were added. Hybrid projects are not new to be. I have been using my computer in my work for years, way before the term “hybrid” came out.

75 Days until Halloween!

Yes, you read it right. 75 days and a couple of hours (going by my Halloween countdown). I better get busy. Since I can't create as often as I use to, I will be highlighting a few of my favorite Halloween artwork by other artists. If it is a card or scrapbook layout, it will be posted on my other blog: Paper Crafts, Pass It On

Doing Better

I have been feeling a lot better lately, but still need some minor surgery. I will still be posting just a few times a month, but I am getting better. Thanks for all of your kind wishes.
Now on to better topics. I have been doing a lot of digi art lately, and have found a few places on line to learn more techniques. I find I spend more time learning and playing than actually creating.
I also scrapped a page yesterday (physically meaning with paper). It was the first time I had since I became so ill. I think the last time I scrapped a page was in October.
I have 8 photos to scan and repair before I can do the next page though. I am still working on the 80's, and the photos are damaged some. No one even thought about acid free back then.
