75 Days until Halloween!

Yes, you read it right. 75 days and a couple of hours (going by my Halloween countdown). I better get busy. Since I can't create as often as I use to, I will be highlighting a few of my favorite Halloween artwork by other artists. If it is a card or scrapbook layout, it will be posted on my other blog: Paper Crafts, Pass It On

Doing Better

I have been feeling a lot better lately, but still need some minor surgery. I will still be posting just a few times a month, but I am getting better. Thanks for all of your kind wishes.
Now on to better topics. I have been doing a lot of digi art lately, and have found a few places on line to learn more techniques. I find I spend more time learning and playing than actually creating.
I also scrapped a page yesterday (physically meaning with paper). It was the first time I had since I became so ill. I think the last time I scrapped a page was in October.
I have 8 photos to scan and repair before I can do the next page though. I am still working on the 80's, and the photos are damaged some. No one even thought about acid free back then.

Class project for beginning digital art.

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Terra from Smeared and Smudged and Kelli from Cajun Stamping Queen did a "31 Days of Halloween" project together where they both created a project each day for Halloween. (see haunted house and bouncing pumpkin in the bar on the right side for the links) They also offered a joint blog candy giveaway. Guess who won! Me!!!
Here are a couple of photos of all of the goodies (can you say early Christmas lol):

Thanks you two! Be sure and check out their blogs. They are both very creative artist.

I was actually doing this for a competition, but I forgot to post it afterwards. Duh.
Oh well, I had fun making her.

Vintage Paper Dolls

Okay, I know this is kind of a paper craft project, but I felt it belong on this blog instead of my other one. I was going to work on an art doll, but I got distracted making these. lol

First Art Doll

When I decided to use this material from the 60's, I knew I had to make pink Go-Go boots to go with it. It's my first doll, and I had fun creating her. Funny thing how things are classified. I was informed the other day that anything over 50 years old was vintage. This would make this outfit a Vintage Outfit. I guess that makes me a Vintage Woman. lol
